I hate when refs decide the outcome of a game. In the Falcons @ Eagles game, a refs idiotic call did exactly that. With 2:28 left in the game and up 20-14, the Eagles were punting to the Falcons with Adam Jennings set to return. As the ball was coming down, Jennings ran up to catch it, but instead let the ball bounce. He clearly never touched the ball, but some ref ruled it a live ball and Philly recovered. Apparently, this ref didn’t know there was a team who might want to have a chance to drive down the field and win the game. Unfortunately, Atlanta was out of timeouts so they couldn’t challenge (I am still not sure why there was no booth review). This gave Philly the field position they needed to put the game away and they did. NFL needs to seriously take a look at their refs and straighten them out. This is the second time this season (that I know of) that a refs call was the deciding factor of a game (remember Ed Hochuli’s call in week 2 that cost the Chargers the game).
What gets me worked up even more, was watching the game day summary and not hearing a thing about it. All that was shown was McNabb’s touchdown run, a couple other Philly plays, and the score. Come on! It’s bad enough they lost the game on the call of a ref, don’t make it look like they were just run over. Give them their credit.

New York Giants @ Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers come into the game with their defense ranked 1st, and they will need it. The Giants are ranked 2nd [...]

If that sentiment is true then Tennessee must beat #2 Alabama this week. Alabama has [...]
1 Comment | Leave Comment...Alabama got some much needed rest from being off last week and they are back gearing up for this weeks game against Ole Miss. The Rebels have been a hard team for Alabama to beat over the last 3 years with Alabama’s victories being by a margin of just a field goal each time. Some would say that this [...]
2 Comments | Leave Comment...The Cowboys lost a close one with the Cardinals OT, but that wasn’t all. The Boys lost their starting QB for 4 weeks. Tony Romo suffered a broken pinkie on his throwing hand in the first play in OT. Dallas was already in a bit of a slump. They lost to the Redskins two weeks [...]

Bears(3-3) @ Falcons (4-2): 20-22
Fire the kicker! Get rid of him! Where’s Morten [...]
It was an afternoon upset by #5Texas over #1 Oklahoma 45-35 that got the Saturday game day started. The Sooners looked great for most of the game matching score for score with Texas, but was missing on defense when it counted later in the 2nd half. Texas was firing on all pistons and made their presence known in the top 5 with [...]

Currently, there are just two undefeated teams left. The Tennessee Titans and the Atlanta Falcons. Just kidding about the Falcons, but [...]
1 Comment | Leave Comment...The Commodores will be trying to keep their undefeated record intact going into this weekends game against Auburn. This should be a close game and I will be rooting for the underdogs hoping that Vandy can upset the Tigers. These teams are pretty evenly matched so, yes, Vandy does have a shot.
How about Oklahoma being ranked #1. I [...]
This past weekend was one to be remembered. Expectations on who would have been considered for the BCS Championship game have been altered. I don’t know about you, but the Gators getting beat by Ole Miss made me wonder if the Gators even have a shot at the SEC title. The game was awesome to watch though, as Ole Miss [...]
